South Africa

By:Ashlee Zlotnick

We are the rainbow nation.
Like a diverse park station.
People of all race, gender, religion and size
come together in unity, this makes us wise.

I wake up knowing I live on the soil that’s filled with history
and there is still so much which is a mystery.
I go to sleep having the desire to learn the cultures
like the patient, little, hungry vultures.

Johannesburg is the city of gold and pride.
This is so true, I would never have lied.
We always moving and are very social.
I’m not being that boastful.

I just love where I live and the people around me.
Unity we have. We not singular, we are ‘we’.
If you have never been, boy you’re missing out.
Get down here soon, you will have fun no doubt!
