Boredom has struck again

bored
By: Ashlee Zlotnick

She stands in front of us.
Talking but we don’t understand.
Her lips are moving but the words don’t sink…
Boredom has slapped us with a firm hand.

As one walks up
another one starts to doze.
A snore here, a snore there
and so the circle goes.

A phone rings,
and the giggle start.
The boredom has now
struck the heart.

We plan our weekend
and colour in our books.
This is total torture.
we like dry fish on hooks.

We have now had enough.
We don’t care about the grain.
we want to party not study.
Guess boredom has struck again.
